Privacy Policy

GroceryRun helps you plan grocery trips. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we use your information only to make GroceryRun work, and we never sell it.

What we collect and why

• Your shopping lists. Items, quantities, and notes you add, so the app can show and sync your list.
• Barcodes you scan. Sent to our servers and product databases (such as Open Food Facts) to identify the product. Product names you enter for unknown barcodes may be added to our shared product catalog so the next shopper gets a match. They are not linked to you publicly.
• Stores you choose. So we can show prices and availability for those stores.
• Location (optional, with your permission). Used to find stores near you, estimate driving distance, and notice when you arrive at a store so your list can sort by aisle. Location is processed on your device where possible and is not used for advertising.
• Connected store accounts (optional). If you connect a retailer account, for example to send your list to your Kroger cart, that retailer asks for your permission directly. We never see your retailer password. We store only the access tokens needed to act on your request, encrypted on our servers, and you can disconnect at any time.
• Settings. Such as your car's fuel economy, used for trip-cost estimates.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
• We don't collect your contacts, photos, or browsing history. The camera is used only to read barcodes, and images are not stored or uploaded.

Who we share it with

Only as needed to provide the features you use:

• Retailers and product databases (for example Kroger, Walmart, and Open Food Facts) receive product and store lookups. When you send a list to a retailer cart, that retailer receives the items you chose.
• Apple iCloud, if you share a list with family. Shared lists sync through your iCloud account.
• Service providers that host our servers, under obligations to protect your data.
• Legal requirements. If required by law.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your list lives on your device and in your iCloud account if you use sharing. Deleting the app removes data stored on your device. To delete data stored on our servers, including connected-account tokens, email us and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Children

GroceryRun is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
